Well I might as well start us off with a little update of life in Vegas....
Although I do miss cocktail hour, delicious meals, and weekends in the pool at the Harris Resort with Aunt Bev & Uncle Mike, I know living with the Benton's will be a wonderful experience. Spending time and making memories with my cousin Mindy and her beautiful family truly is priceless. I can already see how much time and effort it takes to raise children, but I can also see the love and joy Mason and Riley bring to their parents everyday. Mindy is a wonderful mom and I hope that I can be as patient and calm as she is someday...and I repeat, someday! :) I'll start taking notes and break them out in about 5 years or so!
My second clinical is so far so good. Had a 27 year old fighter from Russia come in today with a translator because he couldn't speak any English, that was quite the experience! I went to Impact Basketball in Las Vegas yesterday and got to watch some pros train and play ball. If I knew anything about the NBA and the players it would be pretty cool, but I don't, so I don't think I'll be going back...I know Vance and Rick would be disappointed, sorry boys! But it was pretty amazing that I had to strain my neck just to look up and talk to those guys!
Well not much else to share right now but I know there will be some exciting updates ahead. Vance is coming out to Vegas for Labor Day weekend and I am already counting down the days! Work is going well for him, just working long days and most weekends but at least it keeps him busy!
